Sentara Healthcare schedules 13 Pocket EKG screenings in recognition of Heart Month. The first screening date is slated for February 9th. The Ohio Heart & Vascular Center in Cincinnati, Ohio implements the Pocket EKG Program as a way to introduce their new cardiologists to the community. The Center plans to offer health screenings, including an EKG test, plus a post-screening consultation with a cardiologist to discuss screening results. After the screening, participants will receive by mail a Pocket EKG Card, displaying their baseline EKG generated at the screening. Cardiomark begins offering Pocket EKG kits to cardiologists for seamless implementation of the Pocket EKG Program in the physician office. The kit includes a binder containing posters and patient information pamphlets to circulate in the physician office in order to educate patients on the clinical value of carrying a Pocket EKG Card and all of the materials needed for a patient to order a Pocket EKG Card on their own behalf. The new kits allow physicians to offer the Pocket EKG service to their patients while requiring zero additional administrative energy or financial investment on the part of the practice..

Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, a New Jersey based Hospital, uses grant funding to hold its first Pocket EKG screening event on July 12th. The Hospital screened 103 women and due to the success of the campaign, a second screening is planned.

On May 11, Bakersfield Heart Hospital in California enrolls in the Pocket EKG Program and starts offering Pocket EKG Cards to nurses in their health system. The Hospital plans to expand the Pocket EKG service in the Fall of 2008

Beginning in January, Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, a Society of Chest Pain Centers accredited facility, provides Pocket EKG Cards to those participating in baseline EKG screenings offered at its numerous public healthcare fairs
